- Journal entries — text you write in your daily writing journal
- Language preferences — your selected target language(s) and proficiency level
- Learning progress — streak data, corrections history, and writing statistics
1.3 AI Interaction Data
When you use AI-powered features (corrections, daily seeds, feedback), we process:
- Text you submit for correction — sent to third-party AI providers for processing
- AI-generated responses — stored alongside your journal entries
1.4 Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps
- Device information — operating system, screen resolution
- Analytics data — feature usage patterns, session duration (collected via privacy-respecting analytics)
1.5 Payment Information
All payment processing is handled by LemonSqueezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), our Merchant of Record. We do not store your credit card numbers, billing address, or other payment details. LemonSqueezy collects and processes this information directly under their own Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service — process your journal entries, deliver AI corrections, track your learning progress
- Authenticate your account — verify your identity when you sign in
- Manage your subscription — coordinate with LemonSqueezy to activate, modify, or cancel your plan
- Send service emails — account verification, password resets, and important service updates
- Improve the Service — analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new features
- Provide support — respond to your questions and requests
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your journal content for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following third-party services only as necessary to operate the Service:

Each third-party service processes data under their own privacy policy. We select providers that maintain appropriate data protection standards.
4. AI-Specific Disclosures
- Journal text you submit for AI correction is sent to third-party AI providers for processing.
- We do not use your journal content to train AI models. However, third-party AI providers may have their own data retention policies — we use API configurations that opt out of training where available.
- AI-generated corrections and feedback are stored in your account for your reference.
- You can delete your journal entries and associated AI responses at any time.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Journal entries and learning data are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
- AI credit usage records are retained for the duration of your account.
- Log data is retained for up to 90 days.
When you delete your account, we delete all your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- Database access is restricted and encrypted at rest
- We use secure authentication methods (passkeys, magic links)
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in your account
- Correct inaccurate personal data via your account settings
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your journal entries and learning data
- Withdraw consent by closing your account
