Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SentenceFarm application and website at sentencefarm.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
SentenceFarm is a language learning application that helps you improve your writing skills through daily journaling, AI-powered corrections, and structured practice. The Service includes:
- A daily writing journal with AI-powered grammar and style corrections
- Daily writing prompts ("Seeds") to inspire practice
- Progress tracking including streaks and writing statistics
- AI credit-based usage for correction features
2. Accounts
2.1 Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
2.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at amirdaniel.dev@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Merchant of Record
All payments are processed by LemonSqueezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. LemonSqueezy handles billing, tax collection, invoicing, and payment disputes. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's Terms of Service.
3.2 Plans and Pricing
The Service is offered through paid subscription plans. Current plans and pricing are displayed on our pricing page. Prices may change with reasonable notice — existing subscriptions will not be affected until their next renewal period.
3.3 Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial period. During the trial, you have access to the Service with limited AI credits. When the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin unless you cancel before the trial period expires.
3.4 Billing
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.
3.5 Refund Policy
Because we offer a free trial period, all sales are final and no refunds are provided after your paid subscription begins. If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, contact us at amirdaniel.dev@gmail.com and we will work to resolve the issue.
3.6 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the LemonSqueezy customer portal. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
- Your account and data remain accessible, but premium features will be disabled after the billing period ends
4. AI Credits
4.1 Credit System
AI-powered features (corrections, feedback) consume AI credits. Credits are granted based on your subscription plan and reset each billing cycle.
4.2 Credit Usage
- Credits are non-transferable and have no monetary value
- Unused credits do not roll over between billing cycles
- Credit balances are subject to your active subscription
4.3 Fair Use
Credits are intended for personal language learning use. Automated, bulk, or programmatic usage of AI features is prohibited.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all text and content you create in the Service (journal entries, responses, etc.). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
5.2 License to Us
By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This includes sending your text to AI providers for correction.
5.3 Content Guidelines
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create, store, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
- Attempt to reverse-engineer AI features or extract AI model data
- Circumvent usage limits or credit systems
- Use the Service for purposes other than personal language learning
- Share account credentials with others
6. AI-Generated Content
6.1 Nature of AI Corrections
AI-generated corrections and feedback are provided as learning suggestions, not professional translation or linguistic services. AI output may contain errors or inaccuracies.
6.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated corrections. You should use your own judgment when applying AI suggestions.
6.3 Third-Party AI Providers
AI features are powered by third-party providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic). These providers may change, and the quality or behavior of AI responses may vary.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
- Abuse the free trial by creating multiple accounts
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Service Availability
8.1 Uptime
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
8.2 Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that affect your use of the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content or any decisions you make based on it
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation (excluding your content), is owned by SentenceFarm and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through your account settings.
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Israel.
For payment-related disputes, please contact LemonSqueezy directly through their support channels, as they are the Merchant of Record.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. General
- Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Waiver — Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Entire Agreement — These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SentenceFarm.
